Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 Cemented in Time

Warren Brothers from Boston, Mass.

Were cementers of sidewalk scene,

To walk upon by lad and lass.

One job done in 1915,

A year that World War I be fought,

But not the U.S. as of yet,

Where life  seemed to go on as ought,

Impatience watching cement set.

Warren Brothers, to advertise,

Placed a marker upon their job.

It was an age to modernize

The walkways that were walked a gob.

Soon soldiers walked there more and more,

As the U.S. entered the war.
