Finely's Doing Fine - LP Zoo

This keeper has a job to do -
Keeping Finely, the giraffe, fed
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo,
And making feeding fun instead
By holding out a leafy limb,
Enticing Finely to come near,
And then letting the long necked him
Make the leaves start to disappear,
Using his tongue to grab and pull
The leaves inside his mouth with glee,
Assuring that his tummy's full.
A happy giraffe Finely be.

Through the Covid phenomenon
The closed Zoo works and life goes on.
