Pilchard and Maynard, two males who
Are African penguins and gay,
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo,
Oft seen together on display.
It is a fact on penguins that
A same sex bonding does occur,
Accepted in the habitat
By all the colony for sure.
Maynard and Pilchard share a nest,
Keeping each other company,
And of course are always well dressed,
A happy couple they do be,

Their colored bands, so you can track,
Pilchard - purple, Maynard - blue/black.
