Sense Sonnet - Steamer

Song Unsung

The song, "Baby, it's cold outside,"
Written in 1944
From a husband to his sweet bride,
Motives of innocence galore.
Fast forward to 2018 -
Charge of sexual harassment.
Innocent words are twisted mean.
Message of lust and rape is sent,
In this the new age of Me Too
Such lyrics cannot be condoned.
Shut up is what all men must do,
Only silent knight be entoned.

If you're a man and sing a song,
Odds are now that you will be wrong.
