Bex, the puma, Happy Birthday,
October 1st and twelve years old.
An orhaned cub, she made her way
Surviving in Wyoming cold,
Until some humans rescued her,
And she began her life anew,
As an ambassador for sure,
At home in the Lincoln Park Zoo.
A melon in a box her gift,
Which she of course did pounce upon,
And ripped apart in fashion swift,
As lots of humans did look on.
