The African painted dogs do
Not seem too excited about
Fall Fest at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
They would prefer to nap no doubt.
Their habitat does overlook
The Zoo's Main Mall where humans be
Jabbering in gobble-de-gook
About the stuff to do and see,
What rides to ride, what games to play.
Where is the nearest place to eat?
And nearest bathroom by the way?
All this view from a front row seat!

But each of the painted dogs thinks
Far better to catch forty winks.
