Adopt a Primate Pen Pet - LP Zoo

National Pet Day reminds me,
Here at the Lincoln Park Zoo, that
A primate not a good pet be
In my chimpanzee habitat.
But this chimpanzee has a thought -
Adopt a pet would be okay
From a distance, the pet would not
Be a problem in any way.
The pet and I could still connect
In moments here and there to share
A time and place each could respect.
My pet would know that I do care.

I have not quite decided yet
Which human I want for a pet.
