Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Mine Duty

In King Solomon's day 'twas me
That carried copper from the mine
So that King Solomon could be
A wealthy ruler, wise and fine.
Over a hundred miles I took
The copper over holy land,
That's the subject of the good book,
Teaching of King Solomon grand.
The King and I are long, long dead.
Modern folks do want to know more,
Checking out what the Bible said
'Bout the riches from the mine ore.

Solomon's mines - new theories sprung,
Thanks to finding my donkey dung.
