Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Kagu Digs You - LP Zoo

From New Caledonia come I
To guest at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
This kagu bird, with wings, don't fly,
But stay close to the ground, I do.
Lizards and worms and bugs and snails
Are the munchies on which I feed.
Finding these yum critters entails
I see and dig with skill indeed.
With binocular vision eyes
To best direst my readied bill,
My nostrils, not to jeopardize,
Covered with "corns" so dirt don't fill.

Come by the Bird House where I be.
I dig humans visiting me.
