Butterfly Why?

Ants crawl over a bamboo shoot.
A human touches the bamboo.
An ant attack does follow suit,
Stinging the human fingers, true!
A butterfly does land upon
The bamboo shoot and stays to eat.
Ants let the butterfly eat on.
Why'd the human have to retreat?
The butterfly must have a way
To be of no ant concern, so
The ants let the butterfly stay.
Why is this, humans want to know?

The ants ignore the butterfly,
And nosy humans wonder why!
