A human brought me out to do
A photo op for Web display
On behalf of Lincoln Park Zoo.
An ornate box turtle I be
A photogenic model for
Doing some good work turtlely,
Getting the humans to care more.
We turtles do not ask for much,
But time and place to live life well.
Turtle and human lives do touch.
We all can thrive in this world shell.

Turtles in waters and on lands
Are in the fate of human hands.
