Who would perfect the A bomb first?
F.D.R. told - "Step up the pace,"
By A. Einstein, "or face the worst."
So the Manhattan Project sped
So bomb be for the U.S.A.
Which did manage to race ahead,
And be the first to bring doomsday.
World War II did end, but sure not
The quest for bombs by friend and foe.
Einstein rued what the world had wrought,
But died before the haves did grow.

The U.S. have and others yearn.
The have nots want to have a turn.
