Bella - LP Zoo

Bella, baby gorilla girl,
New born at the Lincoln Park Zoo,
Where life goes by in such a whirl.
I watch in wonder, yes I do,
Knowing that Mama is close by,
Giving me all the love that I need.
Strange creatures loom - I don't know why.
I'm safe with Mama - yes indeed.
Mama says they are humankind,
That we are here to help them be
Of a more understanding mind.
They are better when they see me.
