Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Sahar and Snow - LP Zoo

I am Sahar, the lion who
Is visiting Chicago at
The quite lovely Lincoln Park Zoo,
Quite a seasonal habitat,
Quite dif'rent from Africa where
My kind rarely get to see snow,
Cold, wet, white, blowing in the air,
There on the ground the stuff does go.
Of course, I have to check it out,
And find snow is no fun to eat,
But still a pack of fun - no doubt,
And playing in it is a treat.

A lyin' lion I would be
If I roared snow was not for me.
