Must Butt In

"I think I'll Sit This One Out," be
A book written by Milton Mayer,
Causing quite the controversy,
Whether Uncle Sam should aspire
To getting into World War II.
After We won, Mayer was condemned
For dissing the red, white and blue.
Since that time, many wars have stemmed,
Mayer type protests to no avail.
Uncle Sam thinking - must be done,
Or golly, the whole world will fail.
Uncle Sam winning not a one.

Uncle Sam never thinks, no doubt,
That "I think I'll sit this one out."
