Sense Sonnet - Chiller
Wasps Away
Some wasps are focused parasites.
In caterpillars, eggs are laid.
Hatched larvae begin taking bites.
A disappearing act is made.
The caterpillar slowly dies,
Shrinking, becoming mummified,
Continuing as food supplies
For all the larvae still inside.
Within the husk, larvae pupate,
Chewing a hole out finally,
Leaving the host to rotting fate,
Emerging as adults wasps be.
As wasps evolve, they're more engrossed
In using humans as a host.
