Sense Sonnet - Steamer

Microaggression

Microaggression - a big word
For an interaction that's small.
A slight that's said, a slight that's heard,
Some human stuff that's in us all.
Race, gender, sexuality,
Religion, culture - all that stuff
That makes you different from me.
I speak without thinking enough,
Sometimes on purpose, sometimes not,
But I do say and you do hear
Something hurtful - little or lot.
Flight or fight options of such fear.

Microaggression - wrong or right?
Macroaggressively we fight.
