Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Mom and Son - LP Zoo

"Mom, what are those strange things out there?"
"They are called humans, son, and they"
"Call us black rhinos, and they stare"
"At us any time of the day."
"But they are harmless in this spot."
"We'll be fine while we both stay here."
"Mom, they call us black, but we're not!"
"I know son, but humor them, dear."
"Mom, would humans be good to eat?"
"Oh no, son, humans would taste bad,"
"Some too sour and some too sweet."
"It's good you're with me, Mom. I'm glad."

"Son, this is the Lincoln Park Zoo."
"You watch the humans. They watch you."
