Yes or No Kill

Human pets, mainly dogs and cats,
Are live or die categorized.
Humans get guilty by the stats
Of how many are euthanized.
If a pet is alive and well,
Sending to pet heaven is bad.
Better the pet stays in Earth hell,
So humans will not feel so sad.
One day ETs will come to Earth.
The human will become the pet.
Will humans then think that it's worth
To live by rules the ETs set?

When ETs rule, will there be still
Human shelters that are no kill?
