Greater Wax Moth

I hear that humans say I hear
As the best animal on Earth.
That with my greater wax moth ear,
I get a full frequencies' worth.
The humans say it's so I can
Detect bats flying out of hell,
With me as target as snack plan.
So far it's worked, but who can tell!
I find my hearing tunes in best,
While at moth balls (the party kind).
I can hear what all of the rest
Are gossiping my back behind.

Real reason my ears have evolved -
The "cocktail party problem" solved.
