Bury Truth

From Fort Dearborn ashes arose
The great city of Chicago.
Skin still is cut and blood still flows,
Cuz killing still is ever so.
Fort Dearborn 'twas red killing white,
A massacre fading o'er time,
A statue of it out of sight -
Insensitivity the crime.
Todays, most killings - black on black,
Going on in unending pace.
No longer news, these killings lack
Controversy of inter race.

Massacre statues are now out,
But grave markers still in - no doubt!
