Oval Office Politics

Washington, Lincoln, Roosevelt,
If any were running today
For Prez, how would have each one dealt
With the politics now in play?
Would they take the low road to win
The highest office of the land,
Twisting truth to get voted in,
Cuz that's what winning does demand?
Would they let their media friends
Beat upon their opponent, so
The main message that it all sends,
The truth the voter need not know?

If great Presidents of past ran now,
Would We the People know somehow?
