Sense Sonnet - Acher

Dying Young

The human children of this Earth
Too oft are born into a life
That's measured short with little worth,
Living just filled with dying strife.
All of us that have left childhood
Have a duty to any child
To give that child the common good
The human species has compiled.
Science has given us the way.
We have the mind, we just need heart
To do the good, and not just say
Each of us must do our part.

This very second, children die.
We must do more than wonder why.
