Sense Sonnet - Tickler

Sensing Spring

Ah, the true joys of Spring are here,
As my senses be aware.
The greenie sights are not too clear,
As allergies, my eyeballs bear.
I try to keep my mouth shut tight
To spurn the taste of gnat and bug.
I'm sure Spring's sounds are a delight,
But both my ears have got the plug.
All of those smells so fresh and new,
But my nose is clogged up in snot.
And Spring do touch, oh yes Spring do,
In bird poop and bee sting I got.

Ah yes, Spring is here, I do sense.
I pay the price of Spring's expense.
