Sense Sonnet - Acher

The Boy in the Box

Remember that boy in the box,
Beat dead, thrown in a Philly field,
Decades ago in time tick tocks,
The truth of it never revealed.
I was the one who did the deed,
Sorry for it, for what it's worth.
Somehow I managed to succeed
Avoiding capture here on Earth.
But now I'm sick and old and will
Soon die, and have to face my sin.
It's hell here and I can't wait till
They take me from this loony bin.

That boy in the box waits for me
To forgive and to set me free.
