Dis Oil

The U.S. went to tap the oil
Held in reserve far underground.
Price tensions had come to a boil,
And warning bells began to sound.
'Twas an emergency towit
That needed a bandaid to fix
Consumers whining for a bit.
That's how it's done in politics.
But when Feds tapped the reserve,
Lo and behold it was quite bare,
Sucked out by thieves. Of all the nerve.
All that was left was just hot air.

Wonder who the culprit could be -
Odds are in favor of B.P.
