Ism for War

The wars today cannot be won
If ism is the reason why.
The war in Vietnam was done
To stop communism - or try.
With blood and treasure - yes we tried
Invading other people's land.
We were not on any good side.
We failed and did not understand.
We wage war in Afghanistan
To fight terrorism of few
Who dared to undertake a plan
On 9/11. War to do.

Isms are no excuse for war.
But we still keep searching for more.
