Sense Sonnet - Pumper

The Kiss

When I showed up on the big screen,
The crowds went wild with shock and awe.
I was branded porno obscene.
Protesting prudish lips flapped raw.
I was a sign of evil times.
Propriety had disappeared.
Forget all of the real life crime,
For it was I that must be feared.
I think I was a great success.
It was so sad some lips spewed sore.
Those lips should do the bashing less.
Instead all lips should do me more.

Thomas Edison, thanks for this -
Making me a film star - "The Kiss."
