Sense Sonnet - Tickler

Departure and Arrival

She was being buried today.
Only a few people had come.
The skies were ominous and gray
Above the gathering of glum.
She'd gone to church religiously,
And talked the talk of righteousness.
But, oh her personality
Rubbed all she knew wrong, more or less.
The lightning flashed and thunder boomed,
As the burial rite did end.
The small crowd left. The darkness loomed.
Above the heavens did portend.

Leaving, her husband did declare,
"For heaven's sake, she made it there."
