Sense Sonnet - Steamer

Try to Help!

I was walking across the bridge,
And saw this guy upon the rail.
I could see he was just a smidge
From ending it all, with a sail
Into the air with fatal fall
To the far waters down below.
So I asked in beckoning call,
Was he sure he wanted it so?
As I approached, he yelled out, "Yes."
I said, Okay," and pushed him off.
Somebody saw all this, I guess.
I'm charged with murder. I don't scoff.

A helping hand to be humane.
No thanks, but just damn legal pain.
