Sense Sonnet - Chiller

From Space

Being in the space station crew
Has given me so much insight
Into the Earth I never knew,
Until I viewed it from this height.
Up here, time has flown by so fast.
It seems like the crew just arrived.
But all these many months have passed,
And good knowledge has been derived.
Next week the mission will be done.
We will return to life on Earth.
I will go back a better one,
To treasure life for all it's worth.

All communications go dead.
Then the entire planet turns red.
