Sense Sonnet - Chiller

Interruption

I was shovelling snow outside,
In front of my house on the walk.
Suddenly, I was horrified
To hit something hard as a rock.
That something used to be someone,
Frozen solid under the snow.
I felt for a pulse. There was none.
It was nobody that I know.
I called the police and they came.
I answered the questions they posed.
On the body, they found no name.
They all left. No more was disclosed.

I put the snow shovel away.
I'd finish up another day.
