Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Go with the Flow

Geronimo, he got his name
From Mexico, as he waged war,
Putting their armies to such shame,
Relief from St. Jerome they swore.
Long and hard he fought for the land,
Home of his people, ages past.
For all he loved, he took his stand,
But the invaders won at last.
He was in prison for a while.
Then freed, he joined in the new way -
The way to the bank with a smile,
Cashing in till his dying day.

Geronimo, he got to be
A real life paid celebrity.
