Barrier

I was raped by a man I knew.
He was arrested and charged fast.
There was enough evidence to
Get a sure guilty verdict cast.
But, English was not understood
Enough by the accused, and so
The Court said a translator should
Be found before the trial could go.
No one was found over 3 years,
And so the charges were dismissed.
No speedy trial, so it appears
Some wrong rights can and do exist.

Justice is nowhere to be found,
If a translator's not around.
