Distracted

It's so good to be home at last,
After a long hard day at work.
And my little enthusiast
Will give this Dad his welcome perk.
I back the car into the drive.
The garage door is opening.
I see a postal truck arrive,
And wonder what we're expecting.
Then suddenly, I hear a crunch
In the garage. The car has hit
A toy of Tommy's is my hunch.
I get out to go look at it.

Crushed under the tire is my son.
Oh my God, no! What have I done?
