Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Whatever the Bill

Geronimo, a cockatoo,
Flew the coop, up into a tree.
William did what he had to do,
And climbed up to set the bird free.
William managed to grab his pet,
Which bit the hand that feeds the bird.
But, they weren't out of the woods yet.
A call for help, the Coast Guard heard.
A helicoptor was required
To rescue the stuck Bill and bill.
A safe, happy ending transpired.
The rescue bill was hefty - still -

"I had to save Geronimo,"
"'Cause he's my baby doncha know?"
