Sense Sonnet - Pumper

Doer of Good

Albert Schweitzer sought to excel
At living a purposeful life.
He wanted to do much and well,
Sharing with his children and wife.
A musician, praised in tribute;
A scholar on theology;
An M.D. of admired repute -
He had it all by age 40.
In Africa, he chose a place
To build a hospital to care
For lepers of the human race,
And all others sick who were there.

A 50 year care marathon,
He died at 90, still hands on.
