 Entwined Opposites

In this theatre the crowd is

Often looking, not at the stage,

But upward for eerie show biz,

Where an encounter did engage

In the prime box, then long ago.

Gun shooting happened suddenly,

Causing a halt to the stage show,

Final curtain call tragedy.

The hater to the hated came,

Fateful destiny to fulfill.

Assassin, John Wilkes Booth, took aim

At President Lincoln to kill.

Often appearing, ghosts long dead,

One shoots the other in the head.
