Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 Wily but Wary

I am at home in desert land.

It's often hard to stay alive.

But time and place, I understand,

And do what I must to survive.

Both hunter and hunted I be.

I do prefer the hunter role,

Being more suitable for me.

And I've become skilled in my goal

Of stalking and killing my prey.

Of course I know when hear, "Beep Beep,"

And a road runner's on display,

Chase instinct to myself I keep.

Wily, this coyote I hope,

But like Wile E Coyote, nope!
