Sense Sonnet - Acher

 My Facing Me

I use my beauty to obtain

What I want at other's expense.

What is their loss becomes my gain,

The only outcome that makes sense

To this lady in a man's world.

So many a man's been my pawn,

Each and all 'round my fingers curled

Until their use to me was gone.

Yes, some families I destroyed,

Some husbands and fathers I took.

My face an asset I employed.

Here's a mirror, let me take a look.

In the mirror, turned away I be,

Even I cannot look at me.
