 Extent of Compassion

I'm asked what is the extent of

Compassion and I must reply,

Compassion extends just with love,

And both of these I must supply.

Extent determined case by case,

Challenge to know to what degree.

More wisdom comes each time and place,

Extent that should be shown by me

Of a loving compassion for

One or many in suffering,

And not give such selfishly or

Boastfully on why such I bring.

Compassion's extent I must state

Is nowhere if given with hate.
