Sense Sonnet - Pumper

 Alabaster

In ancient Egypt I did be

Named for Egyptian goddess, Bast,

Who atop vessels made of me,

She as a lioness would last

In tombs for centuries until

Grave robbers would steal my stone art.

And vessels made of me now fill

Museums where I'm a prime part

Of history when Pharaohs reigned.

One Pharaoh I was entombed with,

A jar of my white stone contained

A must have for his trip of myth.

Long time would have decayed him, but

I held cosmetics for King Tut.
