 The Beatitudes

Jesus, upon the Mount does preach

Beatitudes which may be mine,

A supreme blessedness to reach

Me in my life from God divine.

For there will be times in my life

When my spirit, body and mind

Be challenged by some sin and strife.

But I need know I be divined

By God that I hold power to

Overcome all sin and strife and

Live by God's will as pure and true,

And Heaven's reward will be grand.

Live blessed and Jesus says that I

Will go be with God when I die.
