Sense Sonnet - Pumper
Snuff
Back in the 1800's, I
Was a very popular thing
To use for a nicotine high,
Smokeless tobacco powdering.
Dry, I'd be inhaled up the nose.
Moist, placed between the gum and cheek.
Different flavors and scents were chose
To make me even more unique.
Headache, stomach bug and cold cure,
All sorts of folks used me galore.
In tins or pouches stashed we were.
Also a remedy for snore.
In time and place I was hot stuff,
And the folks fondly called me snuff.
