Sense Sonnet - Acher
Silver Bullet Blues
My wife was out with the girls so
I was at home and all alone.
Outside I saw the full moon glow,
Then heard a howl in scary tone.
It could be a werewolf I thought.
A believer I always be.
Just in case my pistol I got,
And silver bullet given me
By my wife once as just a joke.
But now protection it would bring,
Shot with it a werewolf would croak.
In the bushes I shot something.
I got the surprise of my life,
No werewolf, just my hairy wife.
