Sense Sonnet - Acher
Icarus
Daedalus and Icarus flew,
Father and son winged to be free.
Daedalus hoped Icarus knew
To fly safely 'tween sun and sea.
But Icarus believed he be
Safe from his wing wax melting so
He chose to fly defiantly.
Close to the sun he did go.
Wax melted and his wings did fail.
Icarus laughed as he plunged down,
Still confidant, hearty and hale.
In the sea Icarus did drown.
Self sabotage through pumped ego,
Icarus syndrome now all know.
