Sense Sonnet - Chiller

 Barefoot in the Woods

I'm walking in the woods one day,

Take off my shoes and walk barefoot,

Feel closer to nature this way,

As toes into the mud I put,

Now truly one of nature's own.

Then from the bushes I do hear

An ominous loud growling tone.

No time to put on shoes I fear,

So through the mud I start to run.

But have good hunch that in this race

I am for sure the losing one,

Barefooted I keep a poor pace.

Barefooted I climb up a tree.

Barefooted bear climbs after me.
