 Tremors

In the desert I am with Mom

When the tremors do shake the ground.

Mom says that I need to stay calm,

No reason to be worry bound.

Mom says that cuz I am so young

I haven't felt tremors before.

Mom knows best so I hold my tongue,

But then feel the shaking some more.

Mom smiles at me and tells me that

From time to time tremors occur

In our desert habitat.

I'll be fine, Mom does reassure.

Cuz these tremors are new for me

A rattled snake is how I be.
