Sense Sonnet - Acher
Sonnet CVIII By T.S. Eliot
T.S. Eliot did pen out
In a sonnet some question he
Thought out and causing him his doubt
About his sexuality.
The sonnet's penned for a "sweet boy"
Who Eliot wants to tell of
The truth they never can enjoy,
The shared between of mortal love.
Eliot now an old man with
The "dust and injury" of age
Finds "first conceit of love" a myth.
Sad thoughts shared on a sonnet page.
With the sadness his thoughts be said,
For Eliot such love be dead.
