Sense Sonnet - Tickler
Quieting Mistake
Whenever I make a mistake,
Which happens often, then the wife,
A long scolding of me, does make.
I hate that part of wedded life.
If only I'd not have to hear
The wife go on and on about
My mistakes in long winded sneer,
That would make me happy no doubt.
The wife was on her phone and asked
If a favor for her I'd do,
Bring her lip balm tube I was tasked.
By mistake I grabbed super glue.
It's been a month, now happily,
The wife's not said a word to me.
